Our Artists

These are our artists, whom we love and support and whom we ask you to love and support as well! Support indie musicians - help us help them make a living from their art. How? Buy a song for a buck (it's like putting a buck in the tip jar down at your local coffee shop or juice bar!), or buy an album for fifteen or twenty bucks (it's like buying a pizza - feed your favorite musician! think of how much money you drank away, never to see again, here at least you get music that lasts forever), and spread the word to your family and friends about the music you love, and encourage them to support indie musicians too. There's no time like the present! (That means: Why not do it today?) And if word really gets around and enough people do it, the musicians may even be able to quit their "day" jobs and focus on music full-time, to give you more of the music you love. On behalf of indie musicians everywhere, and especially on behalf of our artists, we thank you from the bottom of hearts.

The Band Foster
For video, show dates so you can catch them live, photos, and to learn more about The Band Foster, head to http://www.myspace.com/thebandfoster

The Band Foster is a Houston, Tx based band that has risen from their grassroots toward an unbelievable new destiny. Their new album, “Believe,” will become available Spring 2009. The new album features melodic tunes like “Hey Child, Change, All in All” and more hard hitting songs like “Rearranged, Fine Line & Everywhere.”

“The albums’ title track “Believe” tells fans that life is what you make of it. If you strive for the best and believe in yourself, you’ll succeed beyond compare,” says lead singer John Foster. The sound of the band parallels each members’ life experience. “We’ve worked so hard on this new album making sure all of the songs are as professional as possible. We’ve strived to give our fans everything they deserve and we do hope they like the new sound,” says Foster.

The band's musical influences range from artist like Third Eye Blind, The Fray, Coldplay, The Cure, Alice N Chains, Thursday, The Killers and many, many more. When it comes to music, The Band Foster is no stranger. Members of the band have experience performing rock, pop, Top 40 and adult contemporary type music. All have come together to bring forth the new sound of The Band Foster.

“I feel the band brings a sound of hope and prosperity that’s been embedded in them since birth. No matter what happens in the world, we can always count on music to lift our spirit. That’s what The Band Foster is all about. Reminding the world that music still lives in all of us,” says Foster.

Previously, members of the band have opened up for national artist like Dexter Freebish, Saliva, Local H, Stroke 9 and The All American Rejects. The band hopes to perform with other established acts and as their fan base grows, the band soon will become a national act themselves bringing a red-hot concert attraction to Texas, California and the rest of the U.S.

It only takes one listen to the debut album to hear the incredible melodic sound of timeless rock for music lovers in this modern day age. The band is quickly capturing new audiences everyday and the impact of the new CD will be great. Each song on the album, while different, tells a certain story. Some even have said that the band’s music is “driving music.” Meaning that you could drive for hours listening to “Believe” and never take out the CD because each song on the album consists of catchy riffs, unique vocal melody and hooks that keep you listening and singing for hours.

The vocals of John Foster trademark those of several different well-known artist with a twist of John’s own unique elegance. “My vocals fit the music because of the extreme emotion written behind the music. With that emotion it’s easy to portray to the listener the meaning of the song,” says Foster. Originally, the album was a solo project by John Foster developed in his home studio.

While recording songs for the new album Foster got introduced to Ed Dzwonkowski of Follow Your Plan, Inc. Dzwonkowski fell in love with songs and immediately signed the band to his label and the development of the new album is what we call, history.

Songs for “Believe” were developed by John Foster, organized by Foster and Ed Dzwonkowski and produced by Foster, Dzwonkowski, Pat Bautz, Rye Randa.
The H Street Band
For more about The H Street Band, including photos and show dates so you can see them live, be sure to visit www.HStreetBand.com

The H Street Band is an Orange County, California based band (with roots in New England, Kentucky, Tennessee, and L.A.) that is building up to be a big band with a big band sound in the tradition of the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, etc.

Look for an eclectic mix of music, ranging from rock to pop to blues to country. From up-tempo, party, happy, feel-good foot-tapping melodies to soulful to contemplative and even some sad tunes. Give 'em a listen, you won't be disappointed!

The music comes from an eclectic mix of musicians playing guitars, bass, drums, keys, and sax, and alternating lead and backing vocalists. With these folks, it's all about the music, not the band. Serve the song - that's the guiding philosophy.

Meet the touring personnel of The H Street Band:

Ed Dzwonkowski - Drums, Band Management
Ched Reeder - Bass, Vocals
Sam Gallardo - Guitars, Vocals
Steve Rolon - Sax
Larry Higgins - Guitars, Vocals
Chris Zumberge - Keys, Vocals
The Diamond Underground
John Wagner, leader of The Diamond Underground, is making it all happen from his home base in Cincinnati, Ohio.

John is one of the most talented songwriters and multi-instrumental musicians we know. Listen to those demo cuts on our music page a number of times, each time focusing on a different aspect: those one-of-a-kind vocals, the powerful, lyrics, guitar, keys, synth, bass, percussion, and exquisite ear candy. The real mind-blower? John wrote every single one of those parts.

It's really hard to classify and/or compare John's music to anything else out there but people say they are frequently reminded of the great Pink Floyd of yesterday and the great Cold Play of today. Great as those bands are, they've got nothing (in our humble opinion) on the great John Wagner/The Diamond Underground.

Claudio Tomasello
For more about the amazing Claudio Tomasello, be sure to visit http://www.myspace.com/claudiotomasello

Claudio Tomasello hails from Rome, Italy, but now makes his home in Los Angeles. He is a professionally trained guitarist and is about as versatile as they come.

He is presently playing guitar for the very talented singer/songwriter Angela Peterson. Previously he was the guitarist for Rue Melo, a pop/r&b/alternative band that actively toured the country and shared the stage with some big names in the biz.

Listen to the awesome results when Claudio brings his jazz/fusion technical proficiency to the rock/pop genres, as he does with "Angels Are All Around You", "Won't You Please Say Yes?" "Just Friends" and "Letter to a Friend", all of which are originals that he co-wrote, and all of which appear on The H Street Band's Let Your Light Shine album.
Jim Flaherty
Smokin' Diamond Jim Flaherty - so named because be smokes and/or shines on the Gee-Tar, depending upon the song - is a blues-based rock guitarist with a penchant for catchy riffs and hook melodies. Those riffs and melodies just grab you and won't let go, and they form the basis for a great collection of rock songs that compete with the best of them.

Jim is co-writer of the classics "Another Perfect Day", "Heading to the Stars", and "You Chased All My Demons Away" on The H Street Band's Let Your Light Shine album.

As a guitarist, Jim is a posthumous protege of the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn, among others, and Jim tears it up on the guitar as good (in our humble biased opinion) as the better-known greats, with absolutely none of the ego that sometimes accompanies greatness.

Your seat cushions may and should be used as floatation devices - hang on, he's just getting warmed up.
Matt Sumner
"Nascar® & Country Music" on The H Street Band's Let Your Light Shine album features Mr. Matt Sumner, at his usual best...

Check out everything else by Matt at: www.MattSumner.com

You can check out all the rest of his music there, including two of my favorites (besides Nascar® & Country Music of course): "CALICHK" and "Did I Say That Out Loud?"

Be sure to check out his two videos (under the Photo/Video tab), including another favorite song of mine: "I Do Now".

Matt's an awesome songwriter and performer, based here in Southern California. Support him - buy his music, catch his shows, and follow his star to the top.
Hi, it's Ed
Yeah, yours truly.

I'm the guy running this ship called Follow Your Plan. We DO have a plan, and we're following it!

When I'm away from the helm of the ship, you can usually find me in one of several places, in no particular order of priority because I love 'em all:

- at the computer with head phones on, agonizing over a lyric for a song I've been entrusted to co-write (fear and doubt on one shoulder, occasional sightings of momentary bliss on the other);

- sitting in one of my favorite chairs - my drum throne - pounding away on the drums to what is more likely than not a Rolling Stones song (or a Blues song, (or, oddly enough, Dido, though that's been awhile). But, yes, it is Charlie who is my secret mentor - you don't have to be flashy, you just have to be consistent, and a gentleman, and extraordinarily modest;

- out running on the beach trail - with headphones on and my rock 'n' roll turned all the way up to 10, living part of a dream come true and thinking about how it will feel when some more of that dream materializes, digging in and letting go, all at the same time;

- chillin' with family and/or friends, the majority of which friends, at this stage in my life anyway, seem to be musicians(!), almost all of whom, believe it or not, I have met either directly or indirectly (and really, it's mostly directly) through the internet. At the risk of sounding cliche (a recurring nightmare for a lyricist), when I stop and look at the people I get to call "family and friends", I do believe I am among the luckiest and richest guys alive.

And whenever one of them pisses me off in some way, which is rare, over something petty and insignificant, and always only temporarily, I have two dogs that give me some unconditional love every day of my life, reminding me that (a) a dog's life is a pretty good life if you can get that gig and (b) it's great to be king of your own little corner of the world!

'Nuff said. Onward and upward. I hope our paths might cross, and whether they do or not, I wish you all the best.
