Our Music Catalog

Welcome, friend, to our music page. We are an indie music publisher and record label, and we pride ourselves on our reputation for signing only top-quality songs/artists. The music here speaks for itself. If you stay on this page you will hear every song in our catalog, one album at a time (automatically, starting right after the Song of the Month). Alternatively, go to an album of interest and hit "Play All" for that album, and you'll hear all the songs on the album. You can even use the music player buttons at the very top of this website (above our name) to scroll forward and backward through every song in the catalog (but doing it this way you need to give it 10-15 seconds for your selected song to load into the player). And please at least listen through the chorus of each song before moving on - they're all real gems! Hear a song/album you like? Support the artist by buying and downloading it for your personal collection, and then telling your friends about these outstanding emerging new artists that you just discovered. We strongly encourage all you brave music biz pioneers to continue to support indie music in general - and these artists in particular - by licensing these songs for your current film/tv and/or recording project. Yes, we are a "one-stop" shop: we control 100% of the publishing and masters for every song here (all ASCAP). Thank you for supporting indie music.

I started out fearing eyes – everybody taken by
I wanted to be given a life where I’d be free of

disappointment
and my fears of

I wanted to believe in something – I’d rather die than let you go
I wanted to believe in something – I want to know why you never let me know

so tell me now – is this life that everybody’s taken by?
I know what’s theirs and I know what’s mine – and I’ll never be taken by

disappointment
or my freedom

I wanted to believe in something – I’d rather die than let you go
I wanted to believe in something – I want to know why you never let me know

overrun: our capacity for love’s being tested to find a way to save our lives
the loving and the life to teach us
and in finding peace we’re relieved of

disappointment
and my fears of

I wanted to believe in something – I’d rather die than let you go
I wanted to believe in something – I want to know why you never let me know

we must be nearing the end – I’m hearing it said
how soon everything will be gone
and how a man will be changed
the justice erased and Nothing – the center for long

where’d we go?
where’d we go?

we must be making our way – I’ll be hearing you say
but I’m seeing no light up ahead
and if a virtue is true – distorted the view
between those alive and the dead
and I’ve got a message for sons and daughters
it’s a peaceful life you must live
I’ve got a message for all the children that I may see tonight

it’s okay to be who you are
it’s okay to love from the heart
honesty won’t tear apart at your soul
but living without it will always be wrong
this is your garden
this you must tend

we must be nearing the wall – I’m hearing the call
and I want to reach out with my life
and I’m gonna plead love to the people
see if they can decide

that sacrificing for love
it probably hurts and it probably should
but a good man never decries of the pain
what is it worth over what is the gain?
and there is peace in realizing yourself
accepting and pressing on with a will
having faith and breathing resolve
the days to come will be better still

here I am a man
lonely where I stand
with a sadness I can’t see to leave behind
always by my side
misery resides
serving to remind me not to smile

anxious and afraid – she convinces me to stay
I’ve been thinking of you – thinking there’s a better way

so if you’ll come and take my hand
I will always try and understand
and I will always try and be the man I know I can

there you go again
you’re touching your defenses
letting me know where I stand: I’m so alone
then I catch your eye
you make me want to cry
I see love inside – it’s still in you

and with a breath of sweetness
and an open heart to see
I’ve been thinking of you – if at all you think of me

so if you’ll come and take my hand
I will always try and understand
and I will always try and be the man that you deserve

well you deserve the one
you deserve the one

nobody’s around
nobody’s in town I know
I’ve got troubles for myself
I know I’ve gotta let ‘em go

my responsibilities have been needing feeding
look to me and see that I’m beating feet and
honestly
honestly

when you’re down
and you’re high
I never wanna let you down

walking through the day
nobody can make it known
a questioning of faith
I know in time for me it’s grown

well I take what I can take and then nothing baby
look to me and all that I can say is maybe
honestly
honestly

when you’re down
and you’re high
I never wanna let you down

you taught me to want me to stay
baby think I’m gonna leave you
all but don’t forget me – the spirit in me it feels so high
all the rest have left me – my destiny is the sky (I can’t understand why)

they say that you’re good at giving your loving away
and that you walk tall
you ring true
got a little bit of everything that it takes to keep cool
people look up to you
you’re good at getting what you want
whoo-o-ah

they say that you’re good at giving your lovers away
and that you’ve got a heart but you’re never gonna give it a say
well you’re wanted
and you know it
and the best you can with your love is to show it but
you still lock it up
all for yourself
take it with you when you go
whoo-o-oah

you’re so so good
you’re so so good
you’re so so good
you’re soooo

they say that you’re good at giving your loving away
they tell me that you’re dangerous in a beautiful way
well you want me
when I’m dreamin
I’m waking up to the sound of screaming
it’s an echo in my heart always knocking at the door

so please let me in and I
will love you over again
and if you need a reason: say it has no place

sometimes you can be cold
but you’re so good

your apathy in place
a lonely aftertaste
dismissing me in ways I’d never known
a policy of haste
living every day
the love I felt for you it lingered on

I had shackled myself a heart forever cold

into the sun I move to play
you saw me there but then you walked away
you ask me here but then to wait
you face my pain and then you walked away

shadows fill my home
every aching wall
finds the empty parts and makes them whole
so find me what you will
singing every song
defining me once more: love move on

I had shacked myself to a heart forever cold

into the sun I move to play
you saw me there but then you walked away
you ask me here but then to wait
you face my pain and then you walked away
forever love – forever wait
you know my name and still you walk away

today’s about a good day

soon enough I’ll be back in my head
today I’m gonna live outside instead

heard you had a good day
you found a better escape
Alice went the wrong way

this from a girl who seemed to always get her way
it’s easy enough to walk away
she blamed me for the things that I did and didn’t say
then in the end because I stayed

she let her hair down and she put her arms around me
she nearly covered every scar
then we talked about life for a time how it’s not been so good to us
how we’d both made it here so far
let me tell you now

she is a sweetness
that bitter never knows
she is the sunlight
where shadow never goes
it’s ever alarming how she’ll make mistakes again
I can’t help but feel I’m losing a friend
lovers undercover ‘til the end

I suggest that she let go
learn to trust that she could openly show me
who she was
who she is
and who she wants to be
if she was willing to try – go for a life worth living
let me tell you now

she is a sweetness
loving carries on
forever aching
when forever has no end
she’s all I can think of and there’s little left to do
be a friend I’ll be a friend to you
I found the sweetest love I’ve ever known
in you

take what you will take
play the cards you face

just to hear me say that I don’t know
don’t you know the day will come to pass
when I am gone
to sing my song

hey yeah
the trouble with the weight
is that it holds me and pressures me to stay
now wherever life is free
wherever dreams will lay
I’ll say hey yeah

so place a heart between
and dream the dreamer’s dream
(I hear you scream)
you say ‘nothing that you have is nothing that I’ll ever need’

still they say that life will find a way
baby Love will look upon your face
tell me now how is it to play in a heart so wide?

how can you be so sure of me?
lives lost and slipping dreams
how can you see forever in me?

lives lived and lifetimes gone
the memory lingers on
an aftertaste that’s well received

your pain and pride combined
there goes the sun outshined
you think you’d know by now the day’s defeat

how light falls to retreat

how can you be so sure of me?

how can you see forever in me?

locked away – nevermore
I’ll find a place – and make it home

what do you see when I’m not there?
what do you see when I don’t care?
you’re alone in your cares

spend your days – in a stare
you gave me love – but I didn’t care
take a drag – back for more
solidified right to the core

what do you see when I’m no more?
what do you see when I don’t care
you’re alone in your cares

blind the side all for colliding
heart to heart in pieces that I love
the waiting: suffocating
cause for strain completing its own doubt
you can leave it out

what do you see when I’m not there?
how do you feel when I don’t care?

well I’ve got an addiction I keep to myself
I don’t really mind about everyone else
I know that nothing that matters is easy to understand
and the time in between well it goes to my head again

yes they’re crying illusion – it’s all in my mind
but I sensed it was always just a matter of time
I could say I remember and it would be no lie
but when I smoke I get high and that’s alright sometimes

so don’t bother searching – there’s nothing to find
it’s true what they say that it comes from inside
and not for the profit but I gave it away ‘cause I figure
if it’s me then it’s sticking around for a while and
I don’t have to worry about it anyway yea
no no no

and baby life is the lesson – it’s happening now
karma’s a habit for working things out
and heaven and hell well that’s something else still
but you are who you are so you do what you will with it

therapy – you do what you will with it
therapy – you do what you will with it
life is therapy – and you do what you will with it

This album is our label's first release and we couldn't possibly be any prouder of it. It is truly an amazing album. Thanks to all who contributed to it (actual credits already in the cd's liner notes).

Most albums are lucky to have a single hit-potential song. This album is loaded with them! (Check out temple of stone, sweetness, days to come, mousetrap and the weight, for starters).

You can get it digitally right here and right now. We are told by our website hosting service (and we believe 'em) that the tracks you listen to here on the website are your standard .mp3 song files, however, the quality of the digital tracks you buy and download from our website here (using PayPal) are as good as (or even better than) the quality you get when you buy from, say, iTunes. But if you prefer iTunes, by all means buy through iTunes! The button below the album cover takes you right there!

The physical cd is available through cdbaby.com (the button below the album cover takes you right there!), as well as any record store featuring albums by indie record labels (if it's not in stock, ask the store to get it for you through our distributor, Super D Distribution), and of course, from the band at their gigs, which we know you'll want to attend, a schedule for which is on the band's website, www.TheVictorsMusic.com

So thanks for your support, and stay tuned!

Hey child, here it comes again
Another rhythm, another daily event
A crying lash, that wasn’t meant to be
A new born tear, solved the mystery

Pre-chorus
A voice that spoke to me, said in a distance that you would dream
He said don’t worry about the pain you feel, for it’s only a dream

Chorus
I cried all night and all day, to wish my tears away
The silence fell through my head, as I was predicted a slave

Hey child, here it comes again
Like heavy rain, that falls everywhere
A patterned rhythm, that causes me to think,
Building the memories, that always fade in my head

Bridge
Spit out the blood you hold inside
You know it’s held your like upside down
But leave more room inside your brain
For the future has with-told you a brand new name
But pretend, pretend, for you have not much to loose
Except for dignity

How do I begin

Does it full fill your pain

What ever happened to the rain

Why do we continue to do wrong
Hoping more and more we hope
Onto the world that we belong
So whatever happened to the home
The one we cherish with we hold

I wanna stand and see people watch in a daze
Filth pig, setting injections
Pouring acid, I seize my affections
Barcelona, Olympia, mountains of trees
In a parade, oh, I’m a girl in need
Filth Pig trying to reach the stars
They try to dream, but the dreams turn away and fall down

Verse 2
Parade of cars, lined in the shape of a heart
Like fiction, like decoration
Now this girl of color is a beautiful girl
Unlike our corroded motivations
This Subitual Girl we all knew
Tried to dread, but her dreams turned away and fell down

Chorus
Now here we go now
Now here we go

Here's another album with multi-platinum potential. The Band Foster comes to us from Houston, Texas and is led by John Foster, quite the excellent songwriter. Through his thought-provoking lyrics he asks questions that we need to be asking ourselves individually and in the collective consciousness of our society and the world at large. His lyrics are set to either great and unique indie rock beats or hauntingly beautiful hook melodies. If we had to put a label on him, some people say he's a mix of Goo Goo Dolls and Coldplay and The Killers and Bob Dylan and John Mayer. In reality though, it's all simply and beautifully, the one and only John Foster.

This will surely be an album you will treasure forever. About as addicting as they come.

Why don’t we worry-‘bout tomorrow tomorrow?
For it’s a day that never comes
A mystery
Why don’t we let go of yesterday’s baggage?
For it’s a day that’s come and gone
Bitters-weet his-tor-y

Today’s a new day
A brand-new day
You call the shots
Make it extraordinary
Yesterday is gone and
Tomorrow never comes, so
Make this day a great day,
one-of the best-days of your life

Why do we get caught-up in-the throes of tomorrow
What a tangled web we weave
All in our head
We know we can’t change what happen’d
to us yest’rday
But what we can do is decide
how we will live today

Today’s a new day
A brand new day
This day’s a gift
Ain’t it extraordinary?
Yesterday is gone and
Tomorrow never comes, so
Make this day a great day,
one-of the best days of your life

You are extraordinary
Your life’s extraordinary
Today is extraordinary too

Today’s a new day
A brand new day
This is your life
Make it extraordinary

Verse 1
I just met a man at the end of his life
The tears long dried from his eyes
What he said to me I will never forget
But it really comes as no big surprise
It really comes as no big surprise

Some things I would definitely do over
Some things I’d keep just the same
The one big thing I’d surely do over
Would be to reach for the stars
I should’ve reached for the stars

Verse 2
The clock on my mantle it has been there for years
And it still keeps some pretty good time
It’s been counting my days, counting my years
Faithful servant keeping track of my life
Faithful servant keeping track of my life

Today is the day I am making a vow
I’m going to reach for the stars
Starting right here and starting right now
I’m going to reach for the stars
Starting today and every day forward
I’ll be reaching high for the stars

CHORUS
Sometimes I am running
Sometimes I barely crawl
But every step is forward
when you’re HEADING TO THE STARS

Sometimes I stumble
And sometimes I fall
But I keep on going
Cuz I’m HEADING TO THE STARS

Verse 3
If anyone told me that some day it’d be over
I would’ve said they were out of their mind
Clocks never lie, some day it’ll be over
And I’m feeling just a little behind
I’m feeling just a little behind

Wiser ones told me to stop and smell the roses
I would’ve but I never had the time
Now that I’m going to reach for the stars
breaking new ground, I’m starting to climb
Starting today and every day forward
I’m reaching high for the stars

CHORUS
Sometimes I am running
Sometimes I barely crawl
But every step is forward
when you’re HEADING TO THE STARS

Sometimes I stumble
And sometimes I fall
But I keep on going
Cuz I’m HEADING TO THE STARS

This is a wake-up call! Get off auto-pilot and get it in gear! Life is whizzing by and sometimes it seems we're asleep at the switch. If you let those dreams of yours slip away, you're gonna regret it, and by then it may be too late to do anything about it. So, dust off that really really big dream and go for it like there's no tomorrow. Rock on, fellow traveler.

3. You Chased All My Demons Away Play
You Chased All My Demons Away
You Chased All My Demons Away
Words and Music by Ed Dzwonkowski and Jim Flaherty
© 2006 Follow Your Plan, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Remember a boy, who once was afraid of the dark
How could I sleep, with all those monsters around
You sat beside me, held my hand tightly,
till my nerves were calmed, my heart stopped its pounding
Replaced fear with love, you made everything all right,
sweet release, when you kissed me good night, because
YOU CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
YOU CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY

As boys tend to do, this boy grew into a young man,
Fire inside, badge of courage worn on my sleeve, yeah
going west, seeking treasures of kings
trembled and cried, the day it came time to leave
You hugged me as you let me cut loose the strings,
sure you gave me roots, but the roots came with wings, and so
YOU CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
YOU CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY

I soon discovered that chasing down dreams is hard work
and freedom is nice but mine came paired up with trouble, yeah
Caught up in webs, my addictions emerged
Hard as I ran, my demons pursued
I could not escape, those demons stuck to my shoe
But I turned it ‘round, ‘cause you taught me how
TO CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY

Spend all my time tryin’ to keep up with the Joneses
Workin’ so hard for my piece of the American dream
But who’s got time to stop and smell roses
With a mortgage to pay, two kids in college
Still at the end of the day I’m almost happy
When I stop to think how well you had taught me
TO CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY

I lost track of time, got busy with life
the years flew by, you know how it goes
Never went home, hardly ever called you,
forgot your birthdays, I was a pretty bad son
Then the phone rang, right out of the blue,
I better get back soon, you weren’t doin’ too well,
Fought my regrets all the way home, how I prayed
Give me strength God please tell me how
To CHASE THIS BIG DEMON AWAY, God help me to
CHASE THIS BIG DEMON AWAY

Did you feel my tears fall down onto your cheek
I sat beside you, held your hand so tightly,
No sign of despair, your spirit was shining,
I kissed you goodbye, saddest release
our roles reversed, except you’re not afraid
And now neither am I, because you taught me how
TO CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
CHASE ALL OUR DEMONS AWAY

CHASE ALL MY DEMONS AWAY oh oh
CHASED ALL MY DEMONS
CHASED ALL MY DEMONS
CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY-AY
oh oh
oh oh
CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY
CHASED ALL MY DEMONS AWAY

Ever lose anyone you love to a disease that sucked the life right out of them, at way too early an age? Ever have any regrets about not spending more time time with that person earlier in their life? If so, this song's for you. (For me, it 's a tribute to my mom. Thanks to everybody who worked on it, and to everybody who takes the time to listen to it. Thanks for indulging me - Ed). Now go visit (or at least call) someone you love, and tell 'em how much you love them. Today. Right now.

Verse 1
Kicking and screaming
That’s how you came in-to this world
They placed you in my arms
I held you
I calmed you
you melted my heart

from that day forward
everything changed, kid
I knew my life would never-be the same
I vowed
Right where I stood
To give you the best
Life I could

Verse 2
Sooner or later
the day will come when
a bird says its ready to-leave the nest
I held
onto your hand

knowing full well
when I let go
my little bird
flies on its own

Chorus 1
Look at you now
I’m so proud of who you have become
No words can properly describe
The enormous love I feel inside
Go chase your dreams
You go wherever they may lead
Know how much I believe in you
I always have and always will,
Kid

Verse 3
when I look back, kid
I coulda done better and still
I think you turned out all right
hey kid
wherever you are

crossing the street
crossing the stars
I’ll always be
holding your hand

Chorus 2
Look at you now
I’m so proud of who you have become
No words can properly describe
The enormous love I feel inside
Follow your heart
For it will never steer you wrong
But if life should knock you down
Get right back up and carry on,
Kid

Instrumental Bridge

Chorus 3
Kid,
I’m so proud of who you have become
No words can properly describe
The enormous love I feel inside
When things get rough
As sometimes they are bound to do
Remember how much I love you
I always have and always will,

Let me help you through
I’ve been where you are
But caught a shooting star
What looks like the end
Is nothing but a bend

A bend is not the end

Wipe away your tears
Cast away your fears
Things aren’t what they seem
Ice is nothing but steam
A rock is nothing but sand
It’s hard to understand

Today we know it’s true
It means great things for you

Climb
They know you’ve fallen
They came to
Bring you hope and
Get you through

CHORUS
ANGELS ARE ALL AROUND YOU
There’s nothing you need to do ‘cept take their hand
ANGELS ARE ALL AROUND YOU
They’re here to lift you up and see you through

Verse 3
Angels heed the call
Of every sparrow’s fall
Angels hear you cry
From the darkest star-filled sky
Each star up in space
An angel’s loving grace

Each star an angel’s Face

Words and music by Edward A. Dzwonkowski and Claudio Tomasello

I blink awake shake loose the old remnants of an
endless parade of gray look alike yesterdays
Each day bleeds quietly into the next, yes my
Daily routine does give me some comfort

And then you walked into my life
And I can’t shake you from my mind

Plunging head first into a week full of Mondays
The rain is gray, devoid of all color
The air, it is cold but I do not notice
It’s you that now commands all of my focus

Was it fate that brought you around?
Rocked my world, turned it upside down

CHORUS
If you only knew
How I long for you
Do you even know that I exist
If I found the nerve
And I asked you to
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES

Fear of rejection destroys my resolve and
Slaps down my over-worked imagination as
I purposefully seek to distract myself
Nearly succeed, escape back to my safe harbor

Suddenly you show up by my side
Your smile seduces me to try

CHORUS
Now I found the nerve
And I’m asking you
Do you think you’d spend some time with me
WON'T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
Please don't make me guess
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES

And you know somethings were always meant to be
I believe that’s why they call it destiny

CHORUS
WON'T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
Please don't make me guess
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES to you and me
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
To what was meant to be
You and me were meant as destiny

Repeat CHORUS:
WON'T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
Nothing left to guess
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES to you and me
WON’T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
You know you can’t say no
We can’t fight the tides of destiny

Out CHORUS:
WON'T YOU PLEASE SAY YES
To our destiny
Say yes you’ll spend your life with me

Verse 1
We’re JUST FRIENDS so you say
As you smile kiss my cheek
say good bye close the door
Then you’re gone

I don’t know where you go
I don’t know what you do
I don’t know who you’re with
When you’re gone

Why do I
Feel this way?

CHORUS
Yeah, I know we’re JUST FRIENDS – at least that’s what you keep saying
But I see something more to that story

I see boy going after the girl, I see boy getting the girl,
and they live happily ever after

Verse 2
Who am I to keep you here?
Got no right to hold you down
It’s your life, we’re JUST FRIENDS
Go have fun

Mouth says go, Heart says no
Wishing you wouldn’t go
Those are thoughts I dare not speak
Out of fear

Pre-chorus
That I’d scare
Scare you away

Well
You know
I can’t
Have that

CHORUS
Yeah, I know what you said - about us being JUST FRIENDS
But sometimes even friends can fall in love
Yeah I know what you said – about us being JUST FRIENDS
You now have a friend who’s falling in love

Verse 3
Late at night by myself
All alone in my bed
I practice my speech to you
Truth or dare

Hoping soon the time is right
T’ open up, let you know
This friend of yours has fallen in
Love with you

If I told you that
Would you ever guess
That this friend
In love
Is me?

CHORUS
Yeah, I know what you said - about us being JUST FRIENDS
But sometimes even friends can fall in love
Yeah, I know what you said – about us being JUST FRIENDS
You now have a friend who’s fallen in love

Bridge
Yes we are friends
No changing that
Who said that friends can’t
Fall in love?

That Saturday afternoon at the end of June
When we shared a few hours at the county fair
The sun sparkled diamonds off the lagoon
Wish every day could be the day we had there

CHORUS
Everything good seems to coincide
All my troubles seem to melt away
Every minute with you by my side
All add up to ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

Riding the Merry Go Round, up and down
We sure did cover lots of ground
I know firsthand the joy of clowns
Beautiful music whenever you’re around

CHORUS
Everything good seems to coincide
All my troubles seem to melt away
Every minute with you by my side
All add up to ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

Carnival barker spots an easy mark
I’ll always treasure that look in his eyes
I won the ring toss, the only guy in the park
Walking around with the biggest prize

CHORUS
Everything good seems to coincide
All my troubles seem to melt away
Every minute with you by my side
All add up to ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

Planets all lined up in the heavens above
They brought us together now side by side
Across the lagoon through the Tunnel of Love
My heart beating so fast on that slow canoe ride…

As I stole that kiss I’ve been planning all day
Making more perfect an already perfect day

CHORUS
Everything good seems to coincide
All my troubles seem to melt away
Every minute with you by my side
All add up to ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

They all add up to ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

If you ask me what kind of world we’re living in today
Where the truth is the only thing a politician just won’t say
When religion is the reason for blowing people up
I just can’t understand how things got so messed up

It’s a small group of people rising up from the dust
Bringing over their dirty deeds tryin’ to take what’s dear to us

CHORUS
Things like NASCAR® & country music
Guitars and football games
Backyards and barbecuing
Hot dogs and drinkin' lemonade

Well I was raised with good ol’ fashioned faith, hope and love
Taught to look folk in the eye and respect everyone
You can disagree with me on anything at all
But freedom is the one thing that’s non-negotiable

Red states and blue states
are just colors on a map
We’re everyday Americans
in jeans and a favorite baseball cap

CHORUS

These may seem like little things
But try to take ‘em away
You’ll get an army of a hundred million
Standing up for the USA

Soldiers die so we can fly that flag in our front yard
It’s more than just a symbol, it defines who we are

Verse 1
I just said goodbye
to a dear friend
I really loved

Who was called back home
Oh much too soon
It’s quite a shock
All of a sudden
Never saw it coming
Now it’s all over

Preacher said a prayer
He did his best
To get us through

Then when I got home
And all alone
Is when it hit
Clear as a church bell
I got the message
My days are numbered
too

CHORUS
Some day I’m gonna figure out exactly what to do with the rest of my life
Some day I’m gonna summon up the courage to take on my biggest dreams
Make a plan, a secret action plan
That I’ll work on every day
Some day, I’m gonna know how it will feel to have all of my dreams come true

Verse 2
We all have big dreams
When we are young
Where do they go?

I’ve been wasting time
wandering around
without a plan
no clear focus
no real direction
I’m getting nowhere fast

Sometimes my days get lost down underground
Following circles round, the echoes inside of my head
Sometimes I feel my hands and legs are bound
Wishing for some small sign, a reason to get out of bed
But now there is one thing I know I've found

CHORUS
Wasting time, broke inside
Then you pick me up when I'm down
Just a voice, but the choice
You're the solace in this town

Read my mind. deep inside
When the words just won't come out right
This is not after thought
You can be my guiding light
And I know

Sometimes I question all that I hold dear
Waking up in the night, I'm touched by the darkness again
But at least now I feel that someone's near

And I know, and I know
That you'll take me away

Verse 1
The party was loud and it was getting late
I went for a walk to clear my head
I thought that soon I’d be going home alone
Then I saw a shimmering beauty up ahead

When I got a little closer to her she reached out and she beckoned to me
I just couldn’t resist and succumbed to her sweet mystery

Verse 2
I don’t remember much about what happened next
I know it was real cuz I was there
There’s something surreal about my mystery girl
She comes and she goes it seems out of thin air

She smiled and whispered to me to come close there was nothing to fear
She worked some of her magic on me then my mystery girl disappeared

Chorus
She only comes out at night
I’m drawn to her heavenly light
I long for my mystery girl
I crave her sweet mystery
There’s something mysterious about my mystery girl

I wish I could describe how it feels to be in love with a mystery girl
I can say that the things that she does sends me out of this world

Verse 3
I know that I’ll never tame my mystery girl
She’s just not the type to settle down
I’ll search the world over to find my mystery girl
I’ll beg and I’ll plead to have her come around

She smiles and whispers to me to come close there is nothing to fear
She works all of her magic on me then my mystery girl disappears

Instrumental Bridge

Chorus
I look for her every night
I’m drawn to her heavenly light

I’ve been thinking about my life
I’ve been thinking about this funk I’m in
I’ve been thinking about how now
it’s time to have some fun

I’ve been playing it safe, have you?
I’ve been playing it safe for way too long
No more playing it safe, I’m put-tin’
on my blue suede shoes

Chorus
Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Are you up for it?
Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Will you sing with me?
Let’s rock’ n’ roll
Will you dance with me?
Let’s dance like there’s no tomorrow

Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Are you with me now?
Let’s rock’ n’ roll
Won’t you rock with me?
Let’s rock, turn it up, sing it loud
Don’t you just love rock ‘n’ roll

When the music dies down and stops
I’ll still keep it alive inside my head
And I’ll count down the hours until
we get to rock again

Chorus
Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Are you up for it?
Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Will you sing with me?
Let’s rock’ n’ roll
Will you dance with me?
Let’s dance like there’s no tomorrow

Let’s rock ‘n’ roll
Are you with me now?
Let’s rock’ n’ roll
Won’t you rock with me?
Let’s rock, turn it up, sing it loud
Don’t you just love rock ‘n’ roll

How did we come to lives our lives this way?
The old damn cave man puts us to shame
They just lived and cried and died
World one in the same
Now all that we do
Is destroy it in vain, in vain, in vain
Destroy it in vain

I am guilty of destruction I am to blame
The damn flowers and trees put me to shame
They just live here and shine here and die here
Just for the rain
And we destroy them
Bring greed and pain, and pain, and pain
Bring greed and pain.

Where is our depth our mind our kindness
Where did it go?
Have we all sold our souls for the shiny gold?
Can we live here and shine here and die here
Just for the rain
Or will Mother Nature
Kill us in shame, in shame, in shame
Kill us in shame

Clean shaven just like a little monkey boy
Maybe now they’ll believe what I got to say
Play the game just to make some easy money
Never say the truth or what you want to say

Chorus
I’m not bad but I know I have just been sold
Monkey boy run away with your tainted gold

The convicts play the game and I play it too
Say your mind is sick and I’ll believe in you
The Russian rock star says he won’t be sold

So he’s making the call because that shit is a ball
With the fiends on the scene where the music beams
But most of all
It’s for the alcohol

And he’s up and he’s down on the underground
With the picks and the sticks and the vocal tricks
And a broken heart
That he can not kick

Chorus
And he’s all around
The diamond underground

And he’s still got his heart after it all
And he’s working the strings and he’s working them hard
He holds it strong
Just for the song

And he’s all around on the underground
With no chicks and no kicks but some late night flicks
And he’s got those dreams
And he dreams them sweet

Well in back of class and cars and bars
I first well I
I first saw you
And I, I’m not a freak
It’s just a, another BG
Silver screen wild romantic dream

I always sit alone today
In my red room to play
My old black sweet sweet guitar
And I think of you and some way
To start those romantic days
But I can not stop my new found isolation ways

Chorus
Amy, Amy B
How is your, your Miami?
Amy, Amy B
How is your, your Miami?
Well mine’s doing fine
And yeah but you know
Things could always, always be better for me

And I saw you just the other day
At a hospital across the way
You’re still sweet sweet gold today
And I wonder will it ever bloom
Will I get to know you soon?
Or will we have to wait
For the dark side of the moon

I wanted to say
Oh yeah hey man no way
Will I ever join some killing army
And this girl on her knees
Sucking God right out of me
She has surely done me a favor
Because we’ll fight for ten decades
For those gods that we made
I’m sorry Mick but they did not hear the first time

And I wanted to know
Where will your morals go?
If it comes down to the third war
Because extreme faith
It will lay our souls to waste
Always murder for religion
And satan will watch with glee
During the killing spree
I’m sorry Mick but they did not hear the first time

And I left feeling doubtful only sorry
Why must I play that same old story?

Chorus
Please don’t try to play me I am not a game
And don’t take me for granted
Because I am never
I’m never the same

Why must I play that same old story?

And I hang around your crowd
And I always shout out loud
We are the same you and I can’t you see
As I run off in search of health and glory

And maybe I’m not right for you
Or too stoned to feel it true
But I think that you hide all your life inside
And I do not want to admit that we’re not right tonight

The Diamond Underground is the latest incredible addition to the FYP family of incomparable talent, coming to us from Cincinnati, Ohio led by the unique voice, writing and musicianship of John Wagner.

This self-titled debut album grabs hold of you and won't let go. We dare you to try and listen to it just once. We already know it's impossible, The only question is how many times in a row are you gonna listen to it in one sitting? and/or how many days in a row will you listen to it before you insist you better stop cold turkey (the break usually only lasts just for a day, maybe two if you're getting married or have something really important like that going in your life). There are DU Anonymous chapters springing up all over the country, including in nearby Cleveland, home of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. So find a chapter and join. As far as we know, no one's been cured - the meetings are just a great way to meet fellow DU'ers and support your habit in style. (You'd be amazed at how many celebrities are DU'ers).

Hangin’ around in the night lights
Shinin’ bright in the spotlight

I’m countin’ on the wrong pills
Get me through the daylight

Makes sense of us
At no 45 a.m.

You can say that you were loving me

When I want to be with you now
You got it

Gonna take my life to the sky
Spread my wings and I’m gonna fly
It makes when nothing feels right
But you feel right to me

You can tell that you’re loving me
You can deceive in me
